Suitable for all ages
The property is very child friendly, and is much loved by our children (now grown up!) and grandchildren. We provide a cot (please bring your own sheets for the cot), a high chair, and 3 gates for protection of toddlers to be set up in appropriate places by parents. There is also a selection of toys, books and puzzles in the snug which is next to the kitchen at the back of the property.
Both Ventnor beach, and nearby Shanklin beach along the coast offer great family friendly seaside fun. Approximately 5 minutes’ walk from Bentinck, you will find the famous Isle of Wight paddling pool with a lovely restaurant beside it offering a wide variety of lunches and snacks as well as ice creams. At the other end of the Esplanade, the Spyglass Inn, a nautically themed family friendly pub, offers a welcome break from the beach with a wide menu including all the pub classics.
Shanklin has various fairground favourites, as well as a crazy golf course and Pirates Cove roller coaster. There is a lovely seaside café approximately half way down the beach (near the lift) which offers a wide selection of food and drinks as well as a great view. There is also a brilliant soft play in Shanklin for those occasional rainy days.
